Sheila Spalding

Sheila Spalding is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Communications. She began her career in television then into radio after moving to Nelson County in 1988. In 1995 she began her association with Northside Funeral Home. Sheila received her Funeral Directors license in 1998 and is also a licensed life insurance agent. She is a member of Bardstown Baptist Church where she is involved with many programs and committees.

 

Brian J. Papenfuss

Brian was born in San Diego, CA. but moved to Lincoln, Nebraska as a child where he grew up graduating from St. Johns’ Academy, St. Johns’ Jr. College, and Southwestern College with degrees in Business Administration & Accounting. In 1987 he graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service.  He began his career in the funeral industry with  a Funeral Service in New Mexico from 1987-1995, then worked for Jones Funeral Home in LaCenter, KY from 1995-2002, and since 2002 has  worked  for Greenwell Houghlin Northside Funeral and is also a  Nelson County Deputy  Coroner. Brian is a father and parent to three daughters and has three grandchildren. After moving  to Kentucky he has found out through research that his family roots are here in KY, and therefore is proud to be serving the area.

Rayfield "Field" Houghlin

 

Field joined the staff as a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in 1974. In 1980, Field became owner and operator of Houghlin Funeral Home. He has served as Nelson County Deputy Coroner since 1977 and in 2006 was elected Nelson County Coronor.
