January 1, 1991 began a new era of service with Joseph L. Greenwell Jr.
and Rayfield Houghlin joining forces to open Greenwell Houghlin Northside
Funeral Home in Bardstown, KY. After several months of renovations their
funeral home was designed to provide a more open yet homey feel to their
facility. Yet they were able to keep the charm of this historic home, people
are still amazed at the stained glass windows and the woodwork that surrounds
the front entry and staircase. Sonny and Field are so appreciative to the
families of Bardstown and Nelson County for all of their support over the
years. "We are so blessed to be serving such a great community with families
that feel like a part of our family." Greenwell Houghlin Northside Funeral
Home is a member of the International Order of the Golden Rule and the
Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky.
